Legal services for breweries founded on first-hand family knowledge and tradition.

First-hand experience of solving Brewery problems

Jamie comes from a family of brewers who spent their working lives at breweries in the North West of England. They were fantastic days! The breweries must have done well back in the 1980s because they employed everyone in Warrington and there were free trips to Blackpool for the kids (pop and crisps supplied) and amazing Christmas parties!

JCLM have experience of working with independent brewers and cask ale producers in the North West and beyond and assisting them with any legal issues that may arise. These range from supply contract negotiation to unpaid invoices and compliance with Health and Safety legislation. JCLM have also assisted with expansion whether that be acquisition of new premises and equipment, extending leases, assisting with funding and planning issues or developing new product lines.

As such, Jamie is very well accustomed to the problems often encountered by the brewing industry and the growth opportunities it provides. You don’t have to be James Watt to see this!

I engaged with Jamie to assist me with my dispute. Matters had become circular and it felt as though I was becoming a little out of my depth with a legal process appearing inevitable. Jamie unselfishly encouraged me to keep dialogue going and armed me with a greater understanding around the law relating to my dispute. This resulted in far improved dialogue with the other party and an eventual settlement.
